Colonese Climbing

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Fabio Colonese has been toying around the 100,000-chip mark for about the last hour, but he's finally passed that mark in a big way by taking down a recent pot.

We caught the action on the flop with the board showing {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} and 10,000 chips already in the middle. Action checked to Colonese on the button who bet 3,300. Georges Hajjar folded while the player in the cutoff called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} prompting checks from both players. On the {10-Spades} river, the player in the cutoff put out a bet of 10,000 which Colonese thought about for a bit before calling. The cutoff showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for just king high, but Colonese turned up {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a pair of sixes with the pair of eights on the board and that was good to take down the pot.
