Lau Folds Out Chong, Halme Busts Do

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The recently arrived Victor Chong battled it out in the blinds against Alan Lau with the latter emerging victorious.

Lau limped the small blind and Chong checked his option in the big blind with the flop coming down {2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

Lau led for 1,800 and Chong made the call to take the action to the {q-Hearts} turn. This brought checks from both players and the {6-Clubs} hit the river.

Lau now led for close to the pot with a bet of 4,800 and Chong took the full 30-seconds but eventually let it go.

We caught the tail end of a sizable pot that played out between Antti Halme and Hoang Long Do that saw the latter hit the rail.

There was over 40,000 in blinds and antes already in the pot with the community cards reading {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Halme moved all in from the big blind for a little over 40,000.

Do had around 30,000 behind and made the call for his tournament life only to discover that Halme, holding {7-Spades}{8-Spades} had flopped the nut straight – Do headed for the rail and Halme stacked up to 90,000.
