Lau and Orpaz Enter, Nguyen Departs

Level 8 : Blinds 400/800, 100 ante

The number of entrants has grown to 28 though the number of players still in the running has shrunk to 22.

While three Nguyen’s began the day’s play there are just two remaining in contention now with the elimination of Bach Hoang Nguyen.

Two of the new arrivals are former PokerStars Asia Player of the Year Alan Lau and Israel’s Tom Orpaz.

Lau came straight in on the big blind with Russia’s Konstantin Pogodin limping the button and small blind Monsour Matloubi making the call to take play three-way to a flop of {5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

There was no betting until the river with the {9-Hearts} turn and {q-Clubs} river completing the hand. Matloubi took a stab for 2,000 on the river and that was enough to get it done.
