Chandrashekhar Busts Amid Multi-way Carnage

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Akash Chandrashekhar’s tournament has come to a close in one in a four-way pre-flop all-in.

It was Chandrashekhar who was the initial raiser, making it 3,600 to go with Korea’s Jaehyun Lim making the call before Jinyong Park moved-all in for 30,000 exactly.

The small blind folded and the big blind, who had been crippled in an earlier hand against Lim, was all in for his last 200 in chips.

After some confusion about side pots and a lengthy discussion about how much the big blind could and could not win the floor was called to make sure the pot was counted correctly.

Chandrashekhar then moved all-in for 34,600 in total, Lim made the call and the cards were turned over.

Big Blind: {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Akash Chandrashekhar: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Jaehyun Lim: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Jinyong Park: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The {8-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop kept Lim’s pocket sevens in front and while the {10-Diamonds} turn gave Chandrashekhar additional gutshot outs to go with his two overcards the {5-Spades} river saw Park hit a set of fives.

Chandrashekhar and the big blind busted, Lim won the side pot and climbed to 115,000 and Park stacked up to 75,000 after that timely catch.
