Marian Strachinescu raised from the cutoff and Chris Moneymaker three-bet to 1,600 from the big blind. Strachinescu called.

The flop was {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {a-Clubs} and Moneymaker checked. Strachinescu bet 1,800 and Moneymaker called.

The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Moneymaker led for 2,500.

"Queens?" asked Strachinescu, "Or Kings?"

Eventually the Romanian called.

"Kings," said Moneymaker, showing {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

"Aaaa-ces," said Strachinescu, turning over {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

"That could have been a lot worse!" said Moneymaker.

"We are not friends," said Strachinescu, "But it's too early in the tournament to put all the money in!"
