Smith Busts Schemion

The two had tangled before, and just now another confrontation between Dan Smith and Ole Schemion proved fatal for the latter. We got there on the turn but Smith told us the details afterward.

Schemion opened the cutoff and Smith three-bet from the button that forced out both blinds. Schemion called out of position and checked on . Smith checked back so the on the turn was seen for free. Schemion bet 10,000 and Smith slid forward a big tower of blue 5,000-chips to put his German neighbor all in. Schemion had about 55,000 or so and called after thinking it over for a bit.

Schemion needed a queen, jack, eight or king but wouldn't get any of those. Instead, the completed the board and the €10,000 Opening Event champion said his goodbyes after bumping fists with Smith.
