Holz Jams into Luca

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

In the last hand of the previous level, Ivan Luca in the small blind and Fedor Holz in the big blind called a raise by Sergio Aido in the cutoff and the flop came {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The action checked to Aido and he bet 21,000, which Luca called. Holz check-raised to 66,000 and Aido quickly folded, while Luca called with five seconds left on the clock.

On the {3-Spades} turn, Luca checked and Holz moved all in for effectively 184,000, as that's what Luca had left. The Argentinian folded and Holz claimed a big pot without showdown.

The Daniel Dvoress Double

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From early position, Daniel Dvoress opened for 20,000. Big blind Mikita Badziakouski called to see a flop.

Badziakouski checked on {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Dvoress bet 15,000. Badziakouski check-raised to 50,000 and Dvoress called.

The {2-Spades} hit the turn and Badziakouski checked. Dvoress thought about it for a bit before he, too, checked.

As the {8-Hearts} completed the board, Badziakouski saw his clock tick down. With just three seconds left, he announced all in. Dvoress called instantly.

Badziakouski showed the nut low with {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Dvoress took it down with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

A big Double for Greenwood

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Sam Greenwood and Charlie Carrel
Sam Greenwood and Charlie Carrel

Hand 1

Mark Teltscher open-shoved for his last 114,000 and Charlie Carrel called all in for 96,000 from one seat over in the cutoff. All opponents folded and the cards were tabled.

Charlie Carrel: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Mark Teltscher: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

Despite picking up an additional flush draw, Teltscher saw his stack reduced to just over two big blinds on a board of {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

Hand 2

The next hand, Sam Greenwood raised to 17,000 from under the gun and Teltscher called all in for that very amount. Dan Smith in the small blind and Adrian Mateos in the big blind called also and the flop came {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Smith checked, Mateos bet 22,000 and Greenwood called. Smith then check-raised to 76,000 and Mateos quickly folded, while Greenwood called.

After the {A-Hearts} turn, Smith checked and Greenwood bet only 30,000. Smith moved all in and was snap-called by Greenwood, who was covered by Smith.

Mark Teltscher: {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Sam Greenwood: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}
Dan Smith: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {8-Clubs} on the river gave Teltscher a meaningless straight and Greenwood doubled through Smith for 166,000.

Mateos Jams the Turn to Force Out Smith

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After a raise to 18,000, Dan Smith called in the cutoff and Adrian Mateos on the button three-bet to 66,000. The initial raiser let go, while Smith asked "can I please see your stack" before making the call. The duo headed to a flop of {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Smith checked and Mateos bet 55,000, which resulted in the call by Smith.

Smith then checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn and Mateos moved all in. "How much?" Smith immediately asked, and the shove of the Spaniard was deemed to be for 183,000. With around five seconds left on the shot clock, Smith folded and Mateos claimed the pot.

Chidwick Eliminated

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Orpen Kisacikoglu in the cutoff and he opened to 14,000. His neighbor, short stack Stephen Chidwick on the button, shoved for 44,000. Big blind John Juanda asked how much both amounts were and four-bet to 74,000. Kisacikoglu shoved for 282,000 total and Juanda folded.

Stephen Chidwick: {Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Chidwick headed for the exit.

Sontheimer Busts in Three-Way all In

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Steffen Sontheimer
Steffen Sontheimer

Stephen Chidwick raised to 12,000 from early position and Steffen Sontheimer moved all in for 34,000 from the cutoff. Aidyn Auyezkanov, who finished third in this very event last year, called out of the big blind, and then faced the raise to 80,000 by Chidwick. Auyezkanov called and the flop fell {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

"You have one green chip left?" Chidwick asked Auyezkanov after he had checked, and then the Brit bet 20,000. Within two seconds, the player from Kazakhstan check-raised all in for 133,000 and Chidwick called it off with slightly more chips.

Steffen Sontheimer: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Aidyn Auyezkanov: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Stephen Chidwick: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

Sontheimer was in need of running outs to triple up, and the {3-Diamonds} turn was a start. However, a blank {7-Clubs} on the river gave him only an inferior set and he was eliminated. Chidwick took a massive hit to his stack and has 10 big blinds remaining.

Sontheimer in Need of a Miracle

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Steffen Sontheimer checked out of the big blind and Fedor Holz bet 20,000 from early position. Sontheimer check-raised to 68,000 and Holz moved all in for 175,000, which Sontheimer called.

Fedor Holz: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Steffen Sontheimer: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Running tens, kings, nines or a combination of them was needed to avoid a big setback for Sontheimer, but it was all over after a blank {7-Diamonds} turn, making the {7-Spades} river meaningless. Sontheimer was left with just two big blinds, which he then doubled with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} against the {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} of Holz two hands later.
