Riess Doubles Through O'Dwyer

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

As we arrived, the board was already out in a blind battle between Ryan Riess (small blind) and Steve O'Dwyer (big blind). With {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts} on the table and what appeared to be a 64,400-pot, Riess shoved for 71,900. Steve O'Dwyer called with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} but his hand was no good as Riess tabled {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Greenwood and Kurganov Play a Big One

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Timothy Adams opened from early position for 2,500. Daniel Monosson called before Luc Greenwood squeezed from the button to 10,000. Big blind Igor Kurganov cold four-bet to 25,000 and Adams and Monosson got out of the way. Greenwood called in position.

Both players checked the {5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop and the {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn. Kurganov tossed in a single 25,000-chip and action was on Greenwood. He tanked for some time and eventually used a time bank chip to gain an additional 30 seconds to think about it. With a few seconds left to act, he called.

The river {K-Spades} saw Kurganov tank. He too used a time bank chip but eventually decided to check. Greenwood checked behind.

Kurganov looked at his cards and the dealer and showed them to Greenwood. The dealer announced Kurganov had {9-}{9-}. Greenwood tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Kurganov mucked.

Firing Two Streets

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Koray Aldemir opened the button for 2,500 and big blind Ivan Luca called. Luca check-called 2,600 on {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} before both players checked the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

The river {A-Clubs} completed the board and Luca checked. Aldemir saw his clock run down to 5 seconds before betting 5,700. Luca also used the majority of his 30-second clock before tossing his cards into the muck.
