Four-Deuce Never Lose

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Action folded around to Alberto Fonseca Masis on the button and he raised to 12,000 on the button. The small blind called, and Taran Parmar decided to move all in for 116,000 from the big blind.

Masis thought for a moment and decided to call. The small blind folded, and Parmar stood up, clearly upset that he was called as he tabled {4-Spades}{2-Spades}. His friend was over at another table and he said, "He called me with king-queen. I thought he would fold. I have four-deuce!"

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, giving Masis a pair of kings, but Parmar picked up bottom pair.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river was the {4-Clubs}, giving Parmar two pair. As the dealer pushed him the pot, Parmar gave his friend a big high five.

Parmar said, "I didn't want him to call."

Jason Koon was at the table and said, "Really? You didn't want him to call you when you had four-deuce?"
