Francois Billard Cracking Aces

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Leo Fernandez on Day 1.
Leo Fernandez on Day 1.

Francois Billard has shot up the chip counts in the last 30 minutes, and part of it was due to eliminating Team PokerStars Pro Leo Fernandez.

We picked up the action on the river with around 100,000 in the pot a board reading {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} after Fernandez, who was getting a massage, checked from the small blind and Billard moved all in for the big.

Fernandez, who had 82,500 back, tanked for several minutes before calling off with the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} only to see his opponent roll over the {9-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the win.

Schwippert Eliminates Jeckeln

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Andres Jeckeln pushed all in for 40,000, and Jan-Eric Schwippert isolated him with a shove in the small blind.

Schwippert: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Jeckeln: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {8-Spades}{a-Spades}{j-Spades} flop gave Jeckeln the lead, but Schwippert had a flush draw. A {9-Hearts} bricked on the turn, and Schwippert reached out and appeared to be cutting out chips to send across the double as a {6-Hearts} arrived on the river. That caused Schwippert to rap the table instead, and Jeckeln took his leave.

No Seven from Heaven for Marc-Andre Ladouceur

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Marc-Andre Ladouceur
Marc-Andre Ladouceur

A short-stacked Marc-Andre Ladouceur moved all in for 38,000 from the cutoff and Chris Hunichen three-bet all in over the top for around 100,000 on the button. Both blinds folded and Ladouceur discovered the bad news.

Hunichen: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Ladouceur: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Ladouceur was looking for a seven, but it wasn't in the cards as the board instead ran out a lackluster {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Sergey Lebedev Doubles Through Steve O'Dwyer

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With around 50,000 in the pot and a flop of {8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Steve O'Dwyer appeared to check from the small blind and Sergey Lebedev moved all in from the big for 45,500.

O'Dwyer hit the tank until someone called the clock and then made the call.

O'Dwyer: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Lebedev: {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

Lebedev wouldn't make his flush, but the running {2-Diamonds} turn and {2-Spades} river were just as good.

Francois Billard opened for 9,000, and Stephen Chidwick made it 25,000 on his left. The rest of the players folded, and Billard shoved after some thought. Chidwick called off for around 130,000.

Chidwick: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Billard: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The British star did not find any pair on the {5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} board, missing a straight he picked up as well.
