Francois Billard Eliminated in 3rd Place ($123,780)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Francois Billard
Francois Billard

Steve O'Dwyer raised to button to 115,000 and Francois Billard three-bet to 285,000 from the big blind. O'Dwyer thought for a bit, asked how much his opponent was playing behind, and then announced himself all in. Billard tossed in a single chip to indicate he was calling off for roughly 1.6 million.

O'Dwyer: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Billard: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The biggest pot of the tournament thus far was a flip, but Billard needed to improve to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, that didn't happen as the board ran out {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Greenwood Stops the Bleeding

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After dropping a couple of medium-sized pots, Sam Greenwood saw a {6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop for the minimum in a blinds battle against Francois Billard. Greenwood bet 50,000 and received a call. He bet 75,000 on the {q-Diamonds} turn and got another call. Finally on the {a-Hearts} river, Greenwood bet 225,000. Billard took about two or three minutes before deciding to fold.

Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen Eliminated in 4th Place ($100,300)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Chris Hunichen raised to 125,000 from the button and made a quick call when Francois Billard moved all in for 950,000 from the big blind.

Hunichen: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Billard: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

It was a big flip, but Hunichen was the one looking to hold. He did so on the {2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop as well as the {J-Spades} turn, which prompted him to let loose, "Fade it."

The dealer burned one last time and put out the {Q-Spades}, which paired Billard and drove a dagger through Hunichen's heart.

Hunichen was lest with 70,000 and wound up folding the next hand. In the hand after that, he had 50,000 in the big blind and called off the 10,000 he had behind after Sam Greenwood had raised to 100,000 from under the gun.

Hunichen: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Greenwood: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Sadly, it would be another river card that would do in Hunichen as the board ran out [3d8c9h3h10] to give Greenwood a straight.

Steve O'Dwyer Picks Off Chris Hunichen

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Chris Hunichen raised to 90,000 under the gun and Steve O'Dwyer defended the big blind. The latter proceeded to check-call bets of 50,000 and 175,000 on the {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop and {A-Diamonds} turn respectively before checking for a third time on the {2-Clubs} river.

Hunichen fired one more time making it 280,000, and O'Dwyer thought long and hard before making the call with the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}. It was good as Hunichen had missed the flush with his {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Hunichen Over O'Dwyer

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 120,000 in the small blind, and Chris Hunichen called. Hunichen called a barrel of 125,000 on the {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, and the turn paired the board with the {9-Spades}. O'Dwyer checked and then called 225,000 from "Big Huni." Both quickly checked the {10-Diamonds}, and O'Dwyer showed {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Hunichen could beat that though: {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

A Big Double for Big Huni

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Chris Hunichen moved all in for 520,000 from the button and Sam Greenwood called from the small blind.

Hunichen: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Greenwood: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

"Alright, we're flipping," Hunichen said upon seeing Greenwood's cards. "I feel like I'm due."

That feeling proved true as the board ran out a clean {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Hunichen shipped the double.
