Easing into the Action

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Players are easing into action here in the HK$103,000 High Roller Single Re-entry but we have no big hands to speak of.

Bertrand Grospellier tried to get something going with a late position min-raise but was immediately shut down by big blind Adrian Attenborough who moved in over the top and while the Frenchman thought it over he eventually let it go.

There is an interesting table draw with Day 1 chip leader Nick Petrangelo, Steve O’Dwyer, Sofia Lovgren and Dan Smith all seated at the same table and all four players have decent sized stacks so there may be some fireworks later.

Action folded over to Steve O’Dwyer on the button and he made it 5,500 to go, with big blind Dan Smith the only caller. Smith checked the {8-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop over to O’Dwyer, who continuation bet 4,500.

Smith called once more and it was off to the {2-Diamonds} turn. Another quick check from Smith saw O’Dwyer fire again, this time for 12,000 and that’s enough to get Smith to give it up.
