Tanaka Takes From Zisimopoulos, Addamo Snatches Lead
Georgios Zisimopoulos opened the action with a raise to 3,000 from middle position with Shinobu Tanaka the only caller and the flop came down .
This brought a check from Zisimopoulos and a bet of 7,600 from Tanaka, which the Greek player called and it was off to the turn.
Zisimopoulos checked for the second time and Tanaka fired again, this time for 14,200 and the Greek player called once more to bring the action to the river.
A third check from Zisimopoulos saw Tanaka reach for chips again, with the Japanese player betting 19,000 which was enough to win him the hand and he climbed to 105,000 while Zisimopoulos dropped to just below starting stack.
Another player who now has a stack very close to what he began the day with is Canlin Chen, who recently lost a sizable pot to Michael Addamo.
We caught the action on the river with a ton of chips already in the center of the table with the community cards reading , just as Addamo led for 50,000.
Chen check-raised to put Addamo to the test, moving all-in for around 143,000. Addamo tanked and used his last remaining timebank chip before calling with 3-seconds to spare on the shot clock.
Chen grimaced and rolled over but this was not enough to beat Addamo’s and the Aussie player climbed to 290,000 while Chen slumped to 42,1000.
