Peters Wins Another Battle With Carrel Before Break

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

David Peters was in the small blind and fired 33,000, a bit over a pot of what looked to be around 25,000. His opponent, Charlie Carrel in the big blind, considered his options on the board of {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}. After thinking a bit, Carrel called clock on himself. The tournament director began keeping the time, but Carrel called about 15 seconds later. Peters showed him {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the straight, and Carrel ceded another pot to his American opponent.

Players have headed on a 20-minute break.

Perkins Gets Huge Double Through Bonomo; Kurganov Busts

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Justin Bonomo had 11,000 in front of him in the cutoff and Bill Perkins had put in 50,000 from the big blind. Bonomo counted out his stack and moved all in, and Perkins snap-called with confidence, turning over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Bonomo held {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and flopped some help with a gutter on {10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. That made Perkins groan but two more fives gave him a full house and a double worth 141,500.

Bonomo was left with 400 and continued to sip soup, unperturbed.

Igor Kurganov busted out on the neighboring table to what looked like quad threes held by Paul Domb.

Hart Eliminated for the Second Time

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart said he'd be back after busting his first bullet, but he for sure won't be back now after just getting eliminated for the second time. This event is a single reentry, so he's all out of options now.

Hart limped in from the cutoff and small blind Sergi Reixach raised to 5,000. Big blind Christoph Vogelsang three-bet to 16,500 and action was back on Hart. He pushed for about 60,000 and Reixach folded. Vogelsang called.

Christoph Vogelsang: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Kevin Hart: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out an uneventful {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Hart said his final goodbyes. There are several other (High Roller) tournaments for him to partake in this week, but he won't win the gold spade trophy in this one.

Peters Jams on Carrel

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

David Peters opened for an unknown amount under the gun and called a three-bet to 12,500 from Charlie Carrel. Peters checked a {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and Carrel bet 12,000. Peters announced he was all in for what looked to be 60,000 or so, but Carrel mucked without bothering to ask for a count.

Connor Drinan and Jason Mercier grabbed seats in the event.
