Hnilicka Finds a Call Against Blasko
With a full board of out in front of the two players, Jan Hnilicka checked to Marek Blasko who bet 10,000.
It was only a small pot to begin with, with only 8,000 in the middle, but Blasko was putting Hnilicka to the test.
Without being able to understand Czech, it was difficult to decipher the table-talk between the pair, but we're fairly certain that Blasko pointed to the tournament clock and said something along the following lines:
"Look, if you move all in and I call, you still have about eight minutes to re-enter!" The table laughed, whatever it was Blasko said.
Hnilicka called. "Straight," said Blasko, in English this time. Blasko showed for Queen-high, and the table erupted into another round of laughter when Hnilicka turned over for a pair of aces.
