Joey Buhmann Eliminated in Seventh Place (€8,080)

Buhmann league
Buhmann league
Salvatore Cundari raised to 18,000 in early position, and Joey Buhmann pushed from the button for around 50- or 60,000. The blinds both passed quickly, and it didn't take Cundari long to call, as he had pocket aces.

Cundari: {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs}
Buhmann: {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

Board: {8-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {6-Spades} (at this point they shook hands as Buhmann was drawing dead) {J-Diamonds}

Cundari grinned broadly and toothily as he raked in the pot, and we are down to six.

Mark v Marc

Marc Naalden
Marc Naalden
Marc Naalden raised it up to 21,000 from the hijack and Mark Vos made the call from the big blind.

Fireworks exploded on the {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, Vos check-raising Naalden's continuation bet of 30,000 all in. Naalden insta-called.

Naalden = {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Vos = {J-Spades}{4-Spades}

Turn = {7-Hearts}
River = {5-Hearts}

"128,000," requested the dealer as a triumphant Naalden exhaled a huge sigh of relief.

Jan Hlobil Eliminated in Eighth Place (€6,360)

Jan but not forgotten
Jan but not forgotten
Jan Hlobil had shoved a few hands earlier from the cutoff and received no callers, but this time he shoved from under the gun and it was to be his end.

It folded around to Runnar Lindepuu in the small blind who asked how much it was -- just over 70,000. He reraised all in, Joey Buhmann quickly got out of the way, and they were on their backs as the swarm of railers closed in on the action.

Lindepuu: {8-Spades} {8-Hearts}
Hlobil: {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

Board: {8-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}

To applause all round, we are down a Hlobil and play continues seven-handed.

Hot Mark-On-Marc Action

Mark Vos raised to 18,000 under the gun, only for Marc Naalden to push all in from the cutoff. Vos eyed up his stack, making the kind of face a plumber makes when assessing the damage to one's pipes and mentally racking up the damage to one's wallet.

The ring of railers around the final table sensed action, and stepped up on to platform, closing in on the table. However, they were to be disappointed, as Vos passed and Naalden took the pot down.

Farhad Kia Eliminated in Ninth Place (€4,820)

Farhad Kia
Farhad Kia
Seemingly demoralized and seeing little in the way of hands, a short-stacked Farhad Kia eventually decided to make his move by pushing for 21,000 total from UTG+1.

Liking his odds, Joseph Buhmann made the call from the big blind.

Buhmnann = {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Kia = {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Flop = {8-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Turn = {Q-Clubs}

Wait for it...

River = {8-Clubs}

Kia departs in ninth, €4,820 to the good and still wearing a sporting smile.

Italian Stallion Desaddled

With Fedor Los making a rare limp on the button, Salvatore Cundari added limper's tax by betting out 30,000 from the big blind. After a brief pause, Los made the call.

A {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop had the audience salivating for action, but both players checked to the {3-Spades} turn where Cundari check-folded to a 40,000 bet from Los.

Cundari passed and Los showed the {9-Spades}.
