Putt Wheels In Half

Omaha H/L:

A five-way limped pot was checked to the turn on a board of {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} where Nick Georgoulas took a stab with a bet of 8,000 from the big blind. The lone caller was Graeme Putt in the small blind as they saw the {A-Clubs} fall on the river.

Putt then led at the pot with a bet of 8,000 and Georgoulas looked him up.

Putt tabled {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the wheel which was good for the low as Georgoulas showed down {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} for the nut flush for the high. Chop it up!

Dress Sense

"Take your sunnies off...it's a f**ken $500 tourney," chirped Abel Cabrera to Steve Topakas.

Topakas is an intimidating presence at a poker table, and has a dry sense of humor to match, retorting "Well, maybe I'll just go home and get a shirt and tie then!" This was in reference to the suit that Cabrera has donned for this final table.

"Mate, this is just how I wake up!" laughed Cabrera.

Georgoulas Accumulating

Omaha H/L:

Nick Georgoulas opened with a raise from early position to 6,000. Steve Topakas called on the button, and Andrew Demetriou came along for the ride from the big blind.

They went to a flop of {9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}, where a bet from Georgoulas was enough to get the job done as his opponents retreated. Georgoulas is now up to 81,000 chips.

Arazi and Cabrera Split a Huge Pot

Omaha Hi/Lo:

Graeme 'Kiwi G' Putt raised from the cutoff, Nick Georgalous called from the button, Abel Cabrera called the from small blind, and Sean Arazi called from the big blind. It was four-way action to the flop: {9-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {2-Spades}.

Cabrera led out with a bet, Arazi raised, Putt ducked out of the way, Georgalous called, and Cabrera called the raised as well.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Cabrera checked. Arazi bet, Georgalous called, and Cabrera called as well.

The {8-Hearts} hit the river and Cabrera bet out. Arazi raised and this sent Georgalous into the tank. After a few moments of thought, he let his holding slide into the muck and Cabrera made the call.

Cabrera: {A-Clubs} {4-Spades} {3-Hearts} {3-Clubs}
Arazi: {J-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}

Cabrera scooped the low half with 8-4-3-2-A and Arazi picked up the high half of the pot with his full house; nines over deuces.

Cabrera is now at 86,000 with Arazi at 132,000.

Demetriou Doubles With Scoop

Andrew Demetriou

Omaha H/L:

With the board reading {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Sean Arazi check-called a bet from Andrew Demetriou, which was enough to put Demetriou all in.

The cards were revealed as follows:

Arazi: {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Demetriou: {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Both players held a flush, but the {4-Spades} on the river gave Demetriou the nut flush with nut low as he scooped the entire pot and doubled up to 41,000.

Demetriou Takes Another Hold'em Hit

Holdem:

Andrew Demetriou raised to 6,000 from the cutoff before Graeme Putt popped it up with a 3-bet on the button. The blinds folded and Demetriou made the call.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Demetriou checked to Putt, who bet out 3,000, which was enough to take it down.

Its been a bad Hold'em round for Demetriou, as he slips to 17,500. Putt now sits around the 40,000 mark, as the game now switches to Omaha H/L.

Cabrera takes One From Georgoulas

Hold'em:

From under the gun, Nick Georgoulas raised the action and Abel Cabrera called. The flop came {8-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {5-Clubs} and Georgoulas checked. Cabrera bet and Georgoulas called.

The turn was the {8-Spades}, and this time Georgoulas led with a bet and Cabrera immediately raised him. Georgoulas gave a little smirk, then flung his cards into the muck, giving Cabrera the pot.

Cabrera has 81,000 chips now and Georgoulas has 90,500.

Georgoulas Hits Broadway

Hold'em:

Nick Georgoulas opened with a raise from early position and Andrew Demetriou made the call out of the big blind.

They saw a heads up flop of {10-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Demetriou led at the pot with a bet, which Georgoulas called.

The turn landed the {J-Hearts}, and this time Demetriou check-called the bet from Georgoulas.

The river was the {9-Hearts}, and again Demetriou checked to Georgoulas, who fired another bet. Demetriou went into the tank for a long time before making the call. Georgoulas revealed {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for the broadway straight as Demetriou sighed and mucked his holding.

Georgoulas is now up to 105,000 while Demetriou falls to 28,000.
