Making a Move?

Jordan Lamberg
Jordan Lamberg
Jordan Lambert explained the logic behind his all in re-raise against Kenny Ng.

"He told me that he always plays the first hand after the break. There was no way that I put him on A-K," said Lamberg.

Ng had a huge range and could have had any two cards. When Lamberg pushed, the last thing he expected was to find out that he was dominated.

On his poker blog, Lamberg wrote that he was down to his last $200 in spending money. He's attending school in Australia during a semester abroad. His friend Kaja, back in Miami, won a seat online but could not attend the event. Since Lamberg was already in Australia, he was the natural choice to replace Kaja. Lamberg was allowed to take his friend's seat. Not only did he make the money, he advanced to the final table. Congrats to Jordan Lamberg for a magnificent run.

Hand #96 - John Maver

Grant Levy has the button in Seat 6. Kenny Ng raises from the small blind to 300,000 and John Maver makes the call from the big blind. The flop is {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and both players check. The turn is the {K-Diamonds}. Ng checks, Maver moves all in for 610,000, Ng folds and Maver wins the pot.

Hand #93 - Jordan Lamberg Eliminated in 6th Place ($47,900)

Jordan Lamberg - 6th Place
John Maver has the button in Seat 2. Kenny Ng raises to 350,000, Jordan Lamberg moves all in for 1,556,000. Dory Zayner, in the big blind, goes into the tank and while he's still thinking, Ng stands up, shoves his chips in, and says call, though there is still action behind him.

"Whoa!! / Hang on! / Wait a minute!" says the rest of the table, and most of the rail.

Zayner makes the fold and Ng's out-of-turn call is binding.

Ng turns over {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, dominating Lamberg's {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The flop is {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, the turn is the {10-Hearts}, the river is the {7-Diamonds} and Lamberg is eliminated in 6th place. He'll take home $47,900 for his finish.
