Day 2 of Pokercode Festival €550 Main Event came to an end just after 8 p.m. on this saturday evening at Gran Casino via in Madrid. The official final table is settled with 8 players left. French player Benoit Kuhn is leading the 8 finalists with almost 7 million chips. He was already the chipleader when play started this afternoon.

71 players were in contention on a field of 459 entrants and they were all in the money when they came back for Day 2. The prizepool offered €225,000 to share with a €1,000 mincash and €40,000 for the winner. Tomorrow from 1 p.m. final table of this Main Event will be live streaming on Pokercode Twitch channel.

Notable players joining the Final Table are Norwegian Tom-Aksel Bedell (1,850,000), Pokercode Study Ambassador Sebastian Schulze (5,270,000) and Grindhouse member Samuel Mullur (1,170,000).

Day 2 was quick with a lot of shortstacks to start the day. Players that did make the money but not the end of the day include Rainer Kempe (12th, €2,900), Nikola Gasevic (15th, €2,610), Emil Bise (16th, €2,370), Giulio Spampinato (22nd, €1,940), James Grogan (29th, €1,750), Frederik Thiemer (32nd, €1,590), Samuel Ju (33rd, €1,590) or Karim Benamrouche (40th, €1,450).

The eight finalists will return on Sunday, April 16th, for Day 3 of the Main Event. Play resumes at 1 p.m. local time in end of level 25, which has a small blind of 40,000, big blind of 80,000 and a running big blind ante of 80,000. Levels will stay 45 minutes.
