Isaac Haxton Eliminated in 6th Place ($41,400)

Brandon Adams opened to 70,000 from the cutoff and Isaac Haxton moved all in for his remaining 285,000. Adams made the call and Haxton would be at risk as the players turned over their hands.

Brandon Adams: {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Isaac Haxton: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

It was a devastating flop for Haxton as Adams nailed his deuce when the dealer fanned out {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. The turn came a {5-Diamonds} and Haxton would need a johnny on the river. The river added insult to injury as Adams tripped his deuces when the {2-Spades} landed, eliminating Haxton from the tournament in sixth place.

Green Takes a Piece of Adams

Brian Green opened to 75,000 from under the gun, being only called by Brandon Adams in the small blind and the flop came down {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Both players checked and the dealer flipped over the {a-Clubs}.

Adams check-called a bet of 90,000 from Green and the river came the {10-Spades}. Adams pushed in a bet of 225,000 and was quickly called by Green. Adams showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a strong hand in trip tens, but Green showed {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for a river flush and more than enough to take down the early pot from the start of the day chipleader.

Kempe, Peters, Haxton, and Co. Return for Final Table of Event #1: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em; Adams Leads the Way

Rainer Kempe

The total of 69 entries for Event #1: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em was more than any single event in last year's series, with a preview of what is to be expected in the remaining schedule for the 2018 Poker Masters.

A look at the final six-man line up remaining in the first event reveals some of the worlds most accomplished players who will take center stage in the PokerGO Studio just outside of the Aria Resort and Casino. They will be playing for the staggering $193,200 first place prize and, of course, points towards the coveted Poker Masters Purple Jacket.

There's Brandon Adams, an accomplished American player who has over three million in live cashes, and is sitting atop the leaderboard going into the final table of six. The New Orleans native is no beginner to the Poker Masters series as he took down Event #4: $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em just last year for an outstanding $819,000. He failed to cash in the other three events he played, finishing sixth overall in last year's race for the Purple Jacket.

Adams is going to the final table with the chip lead, but close behind is Germany's Rainer Kempe, who will be looking to add another title to his already immense resume. Kempe is one of the most talented tournament players in the world, boasting over 16 million in live cashes, with a best live cash of five million, coming from 2016 Super High Roller Bowl right here in Las Vegas.

Sitting third to start today's final table is David Peters, who is top ten on poker's all-time money, having $23,269,563 in live cashes, and over five million in online earnings. Peters is just a couple of months off from taking down the HK$500,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six Max Event at the 2018 Triton Super High Roller Series in Jeju for an enormous US$1,118,484.

The final table of six is completed by three other distinguished American players: Cord Garcia, Brian Green, and Isaac Haxton. Garcia and Green will each be starting the day with at least 35 big blinds. The final table short stack is Haxton, being the only player to begin the day with under 20 big blinds, look for him to get the early double up as he tries to fight his way to the top of the first event.

With this star-studded group of players returning to the felt, it's almost guaranteed to see fireworks as the day unfolds. The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing you updates throughout the whole final table until a winner is crowned.
