Mak and Gao Tangle
One thing we have noticed about Wenling Gao is the fact that she likes to play a lot of pots, and can show up with some interesting hands.
We caught the Chinese player in action in a pot against Hong Kong's Anthony Mak over on the feature table, with Mak making it 3,600 to go from early position and Gao making the call from middle position.
None of the other players seemed interested so it was heads-up to a flop of , which saw no betting.
Mak fired out a delayed continuation bet on the turn, with Gao making the call promptly to bring the two players to the river. Mak reached for chips again, leading out for 11,500 and the action was on Gao, who decided to see how serious Mak was about his hand with a raise to 30,000 in total.
The answer was, pretty serious, with Mak making a quick call. Gao turned over for ace-high, meaning Mak's was good for the pot and he stacked up to 140,000 while Gao dropped down to around 50,000.
