Bin Tests Luyckx

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

According to Bart Luyckx, China's Sun Bin had not long picked off one of his bluffs before the following hand played out. It was Luyckx who was the instigator, limping from under-the-gun and the action folded around to Bin in the big blind who decided to raise to 5,500 in total. Luyckx made the call and it was off to a monochrome flop of {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Bin checked it over to Luyckx, who took a stab for 5,500, leaving himself around 15,000 behind. Bin immediately check-raised all-in to send the Belgium player deep into thought, where he remained for a minute or so before grudgingly folding.

Bin raked in the pot and flashed the {a-Clubs} as he did so.

"I thought you had something like that," mused Luyckx, "I still can't call though," he said as he counted up his much-reduced stack, while Bin padded out his to the tune of 49,000 in total.
