Wongwichit Back in Action
Phachara Wongwichit is back in action and while the Thai player qualified for yesterday’s Day 2A he could not manage to make it through to Day 3 so is having another go today.
So far that seems to be working out for him and we caught Wongwichit in action in a three-way hand against Hong Kong’s King Ho Tsui and China’s Xixiang Luo.
It was Tsui who was the initial aggressor, making it 3,200 to go from the hi-jack, Luo called the button and Wongwichit made the call from the big blind to take the action three-way for a rainbow flop of .
Wongwichit checked the action over to Tsui, who continuation-bet 4,200. This deterred no one with both Luo and Wongwichit making the call to keep the action three-way to the turn.
It was checked all around and the landed on the river. While he took his time about it, Wongwichit eventually led for 20,000 and the action was on Tsui. The Hong Kong player looked sorely tempted but eventually chose to let it go, as did Luo and Wongwichit scooped the pot to climb to 138,000.
