Li Spikes Turn to Bust Chan
Level 7
: 300/600, 100 ante
For a while there it looked as though today was the day Justin Chan would win his Day 2 seat and the Hong Kong player had run his stack up to around 37,000. However, Chan suffered a few set back to drop down the chip counts before the following hand came up against Will Li.
Chan opened the action on the button and Li chose to defend his big blind and it was heads-up to a flop. Li led out on the flop, Chan shoved and Li made the call.
While Li, holding ace-ten, was behind to Chan’s pocket kings the arrival of an ace on the turn gave Li two pairs and the river was not a king, meaning Chan is now out while Li stacked up to 50,000.
