Kim straightens Out Yim
The last hand we caught was certainly an interesting one and we think Timothy Yim will remember it for quite some time, though probably for all the wrong reasons.
It was Gab Yong Kim who sparked the fuse with an under-the-gun plus one open to 1,000. It appears Kim has been fairly active and his early position raises apparently do not command much respect as Kim was called in four spots with a neighboring player making the call as well as recent arrival Victor Chong (cutoff) Timothy Yim (hi-jack) and Hazel Chui (small blind).
The action went five-way to a flop of and with so many players in the hand, no one seemed keen to bet and the action checked around to Yim who decided to take a stab for 6,500.
Chui folded and the action was back on Kim who now check-raised all-in for 12,675 in total. That was enough to fold out all but Yim, who threw in the extras and the cards we turned over.

Timothy Yim:
Yim had been playing a dangerous game taking aces multi-way but it looked like it might all work out swimmingly until the completed Kim’s open-ended straight draw. The river saw the Korean player rewarded for his speculative early raise and he climbed to 36,500 while nothing is going Yim’s way today and he dropped to 8,600.
