Break Time and Notable Stacks
Level 3
: 100/200, 25 ante
The arrival of the Netherland’s Bos Wim and the re-entry of Taiwan’s Chi Jen Chen has brought the total number of entrants up to 20, and the players are on their first 10-minute break of the day.
The man currently leading the charge appears to be Ireland’s Oliver Cartwright and we arrived in time to see him make a call on the river against Germany’s Kilian Loeffler to edge into the chip lead.
With the board reading Loeffler had led the river for close to a half pot-sized bet of 3,500 from the big blind and Cartwright made the call from the button.
Loeffler rolled over for a pair of tens but found out the bad news – Cartwright, holding had caught the queen on the river to take the hand and climb to 31,000 while Loeffler dropped to 9,950.
