Soyza Takes From Cheong
We caught the tail end of an interesting hand the recently played out between Sam Cheong (cutoff) and Michael Soyza (button), picking up the action on the turn with over 500,000 in blinds, antes and bets in the pot.
With the board reading the had just hit the turn and Cheong had fired out a bet of 60,000, leaving himself 100,000 behind. Soyza thought it over for a few seconds before sliding out the call and it was off to the river.
The dealer peeled off the and Cheong now checked the action over to Soyza. The Malaysian player did not take long to pull the trigger, moving all-in for over 350,000 and Cheong folded instantly, to disbelieving gasps from the rest of the table. Of course, if he was bluffing there then there was no way Cheong could call, so it’s not really all that crazy…
