Sheng Busts Wang
Level 17
: 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Play had not long re-started after the break and there was an all-in confrontation on table two. It folded around to Chen Sheng in the cutoff and he made it 12,500 to go and Zhong Wang quickly moved all-in from the button for a little under 50,000.
Sheng thought it over, counted down his stack (he had roughly 220,000 behind) and decided he had enough chips to make the call and did so.
Zhong Wang:
Chen Sheng:
It was a good old-fashioned race and the flop was a good one for Wang, keeping his pocket sixes in front. The turn kept Wangs’s lead and he seemed primed for a double before the unwelcome appearance of the river.
Sheng stood up to shake Wang’s hand and he headed for the exit while Sheng stacked up to 270,000.
