Jianpeng Wins From Lau
We are now up to 204 entries, 200 of whom are still in the running. Some of the more recent arrivals include High Roller champion Chung Yuan Yu, who had obviously been busy as he is sitting on a stack of 40,000, and Red Dragon Main Event champion and former Asia Player of the Year Alan Lau.
While we did not catch Yu in action in this particular hand it was at his table, with a player in the hi-jack making it 450 to go pre-flop. The cut off called, Yu folded the button and small blind Zhao Jianpeng and big blind Lau both came along for the ride to take the action four-way to a flop of , which is checked all round.
The landed on the turn and Jianpeng checked once more, with Lau deciding to take a stab for 1,000. While this was enough to fold out the original raiser and the player in the cutoff, Jianpeng did not appear to be going anywhere and he check-raised to 3,000.
Lau thought it over for a few seconds but decided to fold and Jianpeng wins a small pot without showdown.
