Seng Takes From Lam
There have been several new arrivals with PokerStars Championship Macau HK$206,000 High Roller Champion Quan Zhou and Asia Championship of Poker Platinum Series Champion Alex Lee recently seated, both at the same table coincidently.
We were lurking near their table hoping to catch the two in action when I decent sized pot played out between two of the fields Macanese players, Lei Seng and Yuehin Lam.
Seng was the antagonist in this particular pot, making it 1,000 to go from under-the-gun with Lam re-raising to 3,000 from the hi-jack. That deterred anyone else from getting involved and after Seng made the call it was heads-up to a flop.
Seemingly not phased at being re-raised pre-flop Seng led out for a 2/3 pot bet of 4,000 and Lam seemed a little taken aback at this turn of events and mulled over his options. Eventually, Lam chose to call and the dealer burned and turned the to pair the board.
This brought checks from both players and the hit the river. That looked like a great card to bet, and Seng also thought so and fired for 8,000. Lam chewed over the decision for several seconds before sliding his cards into the muck, leaving Seng to win without showdown.
