Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Tor Welo
Tor Welo

Tor Welo min-raised to 120,000 with the AA and Terry Gonzaga called with the K10 on the button.

The AJ7 flop gave Welo the top set while Gonzaga had a gutshot. Welo's bet of 150,000 resulted in a call by Gonzaga, who it was checked to after the A turn. Gonzaga bet 250,000 and Welo flat-called which led them to the 8 river.

Welo checked again and Gonzaga bet 500,000 with 1,300,000 behind. The check-shove by the Norwegian followed and Gonzaga snap-folded.

Nicola Montalbano Eliminated in 8th Place (PHP609,000/$10,999)

Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Nicola Montalbano
Nicola Montalbano

Tor Welo raised to 120,000 with the A10 from under the gun and Terry Nguyen three-bet to 300,000 with the KK in the hijack. Nicola Montalbano in the big blind had just 125,000 behind and called all-in for 185,000 total.

The AK10 flop gave Welo top and bottom pair while Gonzaga had the middle set. Welo checked to the three-bettor and Gonzaga continued for 300,000. "How much do you have?" Welo inquired and glanced over to the other side of the table, then opted to call.

A second flush draw came with the 6 turn and Welo checked once more. Gonzaga pushed all-in and that forced out Welo after some deliberation, as a quite happy Gonzaga smiled back with the Norwegian in the tank.

Once the cards were revealed, Montalbano was left drawing dead already and his tournament run officially concluded with the 4 river.

Ryan McAllister raised to 120,000 with the A7 and Edwin Dela Cruz three-bet to 350,000 on the button with the 77. Terry Gonzaga folded the 99 out of the big blind, and McAllister came to the same conclusion.

Soon after, Nicola Montalbano raised to 250,000 with KQ and kept 245,000 behind. William Teoh then three-bet to 550,000 on the button only for Gonzaga to push all-in for 845,000 in the small blind. Montalbano threw up his hands in the air almost immediately and sigh-folded while Teoh instantly called.

Terry Gonzaga: AK
William Teoh: 88

The K54 flop improved Gonzaga to the superior pair, which stayed in the lead throughout the J turn and 10 river.

Valeriy Pak

Ryan McAllister got through with a shove out of the small blind holding the AQ and up next, William Teoh opened to 100,000 with the KQ. No call followed and the pot was awarded to Teoh.

Terry Gonzaga then made it 110,000 to go with the 109 from an early position for Valeriy Pak to just flat-call on the button with AA. Gonzaga had a piece of the K92 flop and bet 100,000, Pak then jammed for 490,000.

That sent the local hero into the tank and he eventually folded as the first 15-minute break of the day kicked off.
