Beresford's Aces Lead to a Double

Level 22 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

Dan Smith opened on the button to 100,000 and quickly faced a three-bet from Conor Beresford in the small blind to 260,000. Ben Heath got out of the way and Smith called to see the {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop.

Beresford led out for 65,000 and Smith called again to the {a-Spades} turn. The action repeated as Beresford fired 80,000 and Smith called to the {8-Diamonds} river.

Beresford used a time bank card before sliding in a bet of 100,000. Smith then used a time bank of his own and announced all in, committing enough chips to put Beresford at risk.

Beresford's chips moved forward instantly as he tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for a turned full house. Smith flashed his cards to his opponents before mucking them to the dealer, giving Beresford the chip lead at the end of Level 22.

Three Three-Bets, Three Folds

Level 22 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Ben Heath opened to 100,000 on the button and Dan Smith three-bet jammed from the small blind, bringing a fold from Heath.

Smith then opened to 100,000 on the button and Heath three-bet to 285,000 from the big blind. Smith laid it down.

After that, Conor Beresford opened to 100,000 on the button and Smith three-bet all-in from the big blind. Right on schedule, Beresford folded.

Smith Doubles Into Chip Lead

Level 22 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

After Conor Beresford folded on the button, Ben Heath bet enough to put Dan Smith all in. Smith snap-called and was immediately at risk.

Dan Smith: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Ben Heath: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Smith's pocket pair began the hand in good shape, with the {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} runout changing nothing. Smith doubled his stack to take over the chip lead.

Break Time

Level 21 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The final three players have agreed to cut down the scheduled 75-minute dinner to a 20-minute break.

Play will resume on Level 22 with blinds of 25,000-50,000 and a 50,000 big blind ante.

Timothy Adams Eliminated in 4th Place ($165,950)

Level 21 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Ben Heath opened to 80,000 from the cutoff and Timothy Adams three-bet to 835,000 from the small blind leaving himself just crumbs behind. Heath four-bet jammed and Adams quickly called as the effective stack.

Ben Heath: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Timothy Adams: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Adams had the inferior pocket pair and the runout of {7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs} didn't change anything for the Canadian going out in fourth place for $165,950.

Juan Pardo Eliminated in 5th Place ($134,200)

Level 21 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Juan Pardo
Juan Pardo

Dan Smith raised to 80,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Juan Pardo in the big blind. Pardo announced all in and Smith called immediately.

Juan Pardo: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Pardo was left to find two outs, but the {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{j-Spades} runout provided no help. Smith added to his stack after eliminating Pardo in fifth place.

Heath Eliminates Winter on the Bubble

Level 20 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Conor Beresford opened to 60,000 on the button before Sean Winter three-bet in the small blind. Winter slid in 430,000 chips while leaving 25,000 behind, the exact amount Ben Heath had in his stack. Heath used a time bank card in the big blind before committing his chips and Beresford got out of the way.

Ben Heath: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Sean Winter: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Heath had Winter dominated, which did not change on the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} runout. Winter was left with just 25,000 chips, which Heath took on the very next hand to felt Winter on the stone bubble.

All five remaining players are in the money and guaranteed a cash of at least $134,200.
