McKeehen Busts With Kings

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Joe McKeehen
Joe McKeehen

In what was presumably a three-bet pot between Joe McKeehen and Michael Azzaro, it was McKeehen who continued with a bet of 24,000 from the blinds on a {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. Azzaro smooth-called the bet in position.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and McKeehen shoved for around 70,000. Azzaro called lightning-fast to put the 2015 WSOP Main Event champ at risk.

Joe McKeehen: {K-}{K-}
Michael Azzaro: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

McKeehen was in dire straights and needed one of the remaining kings to survive. The river instead brought the {5-Hearts}; McKeehen quickly mucked his cards and splashed his stack towards Azzaro before switfly exiting the area.
