Little Pair Does the Job for Kirsch

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Five players including Nick Petrangelo in the big blind and Robert Kirsch in middle position went to {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop building a pot of about 25,000. All five players checked bringing the {7-Spades} on the turn.

Petrangelo bet 8,700, getting a call from Kirsch and the player on the button. The {k-Hearts} completed the board and all three players checked. Petrangelo mucked, Kirsch tabled the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the player on the button mucked as well, surrendering the pot to Kirsch.

Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody Suffers Bad Beat

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

The preflop action escaped us, but we do know that the UK's Jake Cody and Canadian PokerStars qualifier Michael Farrow got the chips in with the latter bring at risk for 81,500.

Cody: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Farrow: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Cody was way out in front, and the {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop looked safe enough. However, you can anticipate what came on the turn based on the title of this post... the {J-Clubs}!

Farrow hit his set to take the lead, and he scored the double after the {9-Spades} was run out on the river.

Guilhereme Lima Sets Up [Removed:19]

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Guilhereme Lima
Guilhereme Lima

After Guilhereme Lima raised to 2,500 from the cutoff and [Removed:19] responded by three-betting all in for 22,500 on the button. Both blinds folded and Lima called.

Sokolovskiy: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Lima: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Sokolovskiy stood up and turned from the table, so he didn't see when the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to give Lima a set.

The {9-Clubs} turn left Sokolovskiy drawing dead, and he discovered his fate when he turned around just in time to see the meaningless {3-Diamonds} put out on the river.

Recent Eliminations

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The field is dropping quickly as chips get dispersed across the room. Some of the notable players no longer in the running include yesterday's $50,000 High Roller champion Steve O'Dwyer, Matt Glantz, Keven Stammen, and the man who started Day 2 with the second best stack, Michael Vela.

Scott Bohlman Sends One to the Rail to Hit Six Figures

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After Brian England opened for 2,800 from the button and the player in the small blind flatted, Scott Bohlman three-bet to 10,000 from the big blind.

England folded, the small blind called, and two players saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}. The small blind was first to act and moved all in for 31,300, which Bohlman quickly called.

Bohlman: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Bohlman had the better kicker and it held when the {5-Hearts} appeared on the turn followed by the {3-Hearts} on the river.

Dietrich Disposes of Seymour

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Richard Seymour
Richard Seymour

Former NFL star Richard Seymour has fallen in the Main Event after running flopped trips into the full house of Mark Dietrich. We didn't catch the action prior to the river but were drawn to the table by the film crew surrounding it.

With about 50,000 in the pot and a board reading {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Seymour made a bet worth 26,000. Dietrich moved all-in having Seymour covered and after a few moments in the tank, Seymour slid the rest of his stack, about 50,000, in the middle.

Dietrich tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a turned full house and Seymour tabled {8-Spades}{3-Spades}, flopping trips but ultimately getting bested.

Large Pot Pushed to Ferreira

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Brazilian PokerStars qualifier Douglas Araujo Lopes Ferreira is having a good afternoon. In a recent pot with Andy Philichack, the two had built a pot worth 70,000 when the {k-Hearts} completed a {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades} board.

Ferreira was first to act from the big blind a slid out a bet worth 25,000. Philichack was under-the-gun and was sent into the tank, a call being worth half of his remaining stack.

Eventually, Philichack let it go and Ferreira piled up some fresh ammunition.

Quads for "Bahama" Bryn

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Bryn Kenney opened with a raise and Anthony Chimkovitch responded with a three-bet to 7,000 from the button. Both blinds folded, Kenney four-bet all in for 21,800, and Chimkovitch called.

Kenney: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Chimkovitch: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip, but not after the flop came down {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Hearts} to give Kenney a set. Chimkovitch could still win with a ten, but that door slammed close when the {Q-Spades} turn gave Kenney quads.

The meaningless {6-Clubs} was run out on the river and Kenney shipped the double.

Simon Deadman Survives Koray Aldemir

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Koray Aldemir opened with a raise and then called when Simon Deadman three-bet all in for 8,500.

Aldemir: {10-Spades}{7-Spades}
Deadman: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Deadman got it in good, but Aldemir was drawing to two live cards. The {3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop paired Deadman, and he locked it up on the {4-Hearts} turn. Aldemir was drawing dead and sent over a small portion of his stack after the {10-Diamonds} was run out on the river.
