Corion Hits an Ace to Triple Up

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Oleg Titov opened for 35,000 from under the fun. Koray Aldemir called from the cutoff. On the button, Phillip Corion moved all in for 145,000. Both Titov and Aldemir called.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Titov opted to lead out, betting 175,000. Aldemir folded so their cards were turned up.

Titov: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Corion: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The turn was safe for Titov when it came the {3-Clubs} but that did give Corion some extra outs to a straight. Titov sighed, muttered something to himself and stood up from his seat, almost as if he could sense what was coming next. His sense was right as the {A-Clubs} came on the river pushing Corion into the lead and giving a triple up to the player who was once the shortest in the tournament. Titov dropped to right around 1,080,000 after the hand.
