Chris Hunichen Finds a Much Needed Double Up

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Adrian Mateos opened with a raise to 500 from under the gun. Action folded around where Luis Villalobos on the button reraised, making it 1,750. Chris Hunichen was in the small blind and he then moved all in over the top for 7,850 total. Mateos quickly released while Villalobos called and the two players turned up their hands.

Hunichen: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Villalobos: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

"I usually feel pretty good in this spot," Hunichen said. "But I don't know right now."

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} which put Hunichen far in the lead, removing some of Villalobos' outs. The turn was the {10-Spades} and the river was the {3-Clubs} which were both safe. That allowed Hunichen to earn a full double up and put himself back into the thick of it with a little more than half of what he started with.
