Haxton Enters; Haxton Exits

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Isaac Haxton was one of the most recent entries into the Main Event, and now he is one of the most recent exits as well. We caught up to Haxton in a pot against one opponent on a board showing {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}. With 1,650 already in the pot, Haxton was first to act. He put out a bet that was a bit less than the size of the pot before his opponent, Jianguo Zhou, raised, making it 4,500. Haxton then raised to 10,000 and Zhou shoved all in quickly.

"Well, alright," Haxton said, calling for the rest of his stack, which was less than Zhou's shove.

Zhou: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Haxton: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

Zhou had flopped top set, but Haxton still had out to both a straight or a flush. The turn was the {4-Clubs} which didn't change anything and the river was the {9-Clubs} which paired Haxton, but didn't improve him enough. He hits the rail and that will be it for Haxton's tenure in this year's Main Event.
