Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Harrison Gimbel raised to 40,000 on the button and Kevin MacDonald re-raised to 100,000 out of the big blind. Gimbel called and the flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

MacDonald led out for 75,000 and Gimbel took his standard 30 seconds before calling. The {5-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn and MacDonald shipped all in for 423,000. Gimbel asked for an exact count and thought for a couple of minutes. He eventually came to the conclusion of folding and MacDonald raked in the pot.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and van Wely checked again. Gimbel bet 100,000 and van Wely called.

The {K-Spades} fell on the river and van Wely checked a third time. Gimbel bet once more, 250,000 this time, and after brief consideration, van Wely shoved. Gimbel folded and the dealer pushed the pot van Wely's way.

Marcos Carneiro Antunes Eliminated in 7th Place ($14,480)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Marcos Antunes
Marcos Antunes

Marcos Carneiro Antunes was left on the short stack and pushed all in for 199,000 from under the gun. Maria Konnikova called from the cutoff and the rest of the table folded.

Maria Konnikova: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Marcos Carneiro Antunes: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Antunes picked up a flush draw to go with his two undercards to Konnikova's aces. The turn was the {10-Hearts} giving him a couple more outs, but the {9-Hearts} on the river missed everything. Antunes was eliminated in seventh place and Konnikova built up her stack.

Chris Moorman Eliminated in 8th Place ($10,640)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

Chris Moorman raised to 35,000 from early position and Harrison Gimbel three-bet to 105,000 from the big blind. Moorman four-bet shoved and Gimbel quickly called to put Moorman at risk.

Moorman: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Gimbel: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

Moorman found himself trailing Gimbel's aces and needed a lot of help from the deck in order to preserve his tournament life. After the board ran out {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} Gimbel's hand was still best, so he took the pot to end Moorman's deep run in this event.

Ziskin Comfortably In Front

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With the average stack being around 45 big blinds, the action has slowed down quite a bit. Throughout the level, there have been a lot of raise and takes, with a few three-bets mixed in.

Alexander Ziskin seems to be just fine with the pace of play as he continues to remain aggressive and pick up small pots. The action folded to Ryan Smith in the hijack who opened to 32,000. Ziskin was on the button and three-bet to 91,000 and Smith called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Smith checked to Ziskin who continued for a bet of 100,000. Smith quickly sent his cards to the muck and Ziskin continued to stack chips.

Loek van Wely opened to 32,000 from under the gun and was called by Ryan Smith in middle position and Marcos Carneiro Antunes in the small blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

On the next hand, Maria Konnikova raised to 34,000 from under the gun and van Wely defended his big blind. The flop fell {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and van Wely check-called a bet of 40,000 from Konnikova.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and van Wely checked again. Konnikova fired another 84,000, only to have van Wely check-raise to 200,000. Konnikova instantly called and the {k-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Both players checked and van Wely showed {10-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a straight while Konnikova flashed her {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} before they hit the muck.
