Mercier Gets a Good River Card and Doubles

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

John Andress checked the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, and Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier bet 5,700. Phillip McAllister called in position, and Andress called as well.

The turn was the {4-Hearts}, and Andress checked. Mercier bet 19,500, McAllister called, and Andress folded.

After the {8-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Mercier moved all in for 46,300. McAllister thought for a bit, then called, and Mercier tabled the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a rivered set of eights. McAllister had the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

"That was impressive," said Jeremy Ausmus from across the table. "Nice hand."

"Sometimes you just know," responded Mercier with a smile.

"You gotta believe, right?" finished Ausmus.
