Kanit Finding Success Early After Break

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit has things rolling with two decent pots right after break.

In the first, he was in the small blind and check-called 100,000 from Mike McDonald on an {8-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades} board. Both players checked the {7-Spades}, and Kanit showed {k-}{j-} for the win.

Shortly thereafter, Kanit opened for a raise in the cutoff and called a three-bet from chip leader Ankush Mandavia, who made it 77,000 on the button. The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, and Kanit check-called a sizable bet of 115,000. Both checked the {2-Diamonds}, and Kanit came out betting with 180,000 on the {10-Spades} river. Mandavia thought about a minute after cutting out the necessary calling chips before mucking his hand.
