Kornuth Takes From Jedlicka

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

There was already more than 100,000 in the pot preflop when Chance Kornuth checked to Stefan Jedlicka on {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Jedlicka bet 72,000, and Kornuth called. Both players checked the {j-Hearts} turn and {9-Hearts} river.

"Two pair," Kornuth confidently announced, flipping {a-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Jedlicka stared at it for about 10 seconds before mucking.

Ronaldo Hanging Around

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

With 45,000 in the pot and a board of {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Ronaldo bet 22,000 after his opponent, Diego Gomez, checked to him. Gomez called and the two would see the {5-Hearts} be dealt on the turn.

Gomez checked again, and Ronaldo made another bet, this time for 24,000. Gomez thought for a bit, looked back at his cards, and with the television cameras watched his every move gave the hand to the soccer legend when he pushed his cards to the dealer.

Huge Pot For Mattar

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Following a flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Konstantinos Pantaridis got his stack of 146,500 into the middle with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Eugenio Pacelli Mattar held {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Pavel Veksler had them both covered with {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The {3-Diamonds} turn kept Pantaridis in the lead, but the {7-Hearts} river gave Mattar an ace-high flush to more than double up and eliminate Pantaridis.

From under the gun, Edward Sorensen opened the pot with a raise to 12,000. Next up, Ronaldo made the call, and then action folded to Adam Reynolds on the button. He reraised and made it 31,000 to go. Play folded back to Sorensen, and he folded. Ronaldo called, though, and the flop came out {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} to pair the board, and Ronaldo checked again. Reynolds bet 30,500, and Ronaldo gave it up.
