Alvarado Busts Ladouceur in Big One

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Marc-Andre Ladouceur
Marc-Andre Ladouceur

When our reporter arrived at the table, JC Alvarado and Marc-Andre Ladouceur were going to the turn after a {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop. On the flop, Alvarado had bet and Ladouceur made the call before the {7-Spades} was added on fourth street. Alvarado then bet 36,000, and Ladouceur made the call.

The river was the {J-Clubs}, and Alvarado moved all in. Ladouceur requested a count, and the dealer informed him the shove was for 71,700. After a bit of time in the tank, Ladouceur made the call.

Alvarado tabled the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for top two pair. That beat the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} that Ladouceur held, and it turned out Ladouceur also had less chips in the hand. With that, he was eliminated and Alvarado moved to 289,000 in chips.

Sivagnanam Knocks Out Katz

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Michael Katz opened for a raise to 5,100 and Ratharam Sivagnanam reraised to 12,800. It was folded back to Katz who thought for a moment and then announced that he was all in. He was instantly met with a call by Sivagnanam and the cards were revealed:

Katz: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Sivagnanam: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Katz would need some help to survive and would not get it when the board ran out {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Sivagnanam, who burst onto the live poker scene with a second place finish for $276,472 at the WPT Montreal in November 2014, moved up to 200,000 with that key pot.

Baumstein Doubles Through Garzon

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Laura Garzon Suffers a Massive Blow
Laura Garzon Suffers a Massive Blow

Laura Garzon, who won her entry for the PCA Main Event as a six FPP Mega-Path qualifier, was recently engaged in a significant pot with Scott Baumstein.

The flop read {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Garzon, first to act, led out with a min-bet. Baumstein came over the top with a raise to an unknown amount and Garzon called to see fourth street.

The dealer paired the turn with the {8-Diamonds} and Garzon checked. Baumstein fired 16,000 only to have Garzon check-raise all in. Baumstein instantly called for his own tournament life and the hands were turned over.

Baumstein: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Garzon: {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The river was the {2-Diamonds}, giving each player a flush but Baumstein the nut flush. He was awarded the double and now has about 105,000 to his name. Garzon, on the other hand, has been crippled to just about 33,000.

Marc-Andre Ladouceur opened from the cutoff to 5,500 and was called by Chris Bolek who was on the button. The flop came {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Lacouceur bet 6,100 and Bolek called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Ladouceur led out for 12,100. Bolek looked for a moment as if he was going to call, grabbing some chips in his hand, but ultimately decided to fold. Ladouceur is off to a good start thus far, up to 165,000 in chips after that pot.

Nadal Ships the Rest to Schwartz

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Noah Schwartz finished Jose Manuel Nadal.
Noah Schwartz finished Jose Manuel Nadal.

Just moments after doubling Rami Boukai up, Jose Manuel Nadal called 22,400 on a {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board against big blind Noah Schwartz. The {j-Clubs} hit the river, and Schwartz put Nadal all in for about 60,000. The Mexican quickly called, but Schwartz showed him {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for top two, and Nadal's cards went into the middle face down.

Boukai Doubles Through Nadal

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Jose Manuel Nadal checked from early position in a three-bet pot against Rami Boukai, who bet 13,500 on the {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop. Nadal put Boukai all in for about 60,000 total, and Boukai was ready with a snap-call.

Boukai: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Nadal: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

Nadal was drawing to an eight, but he didn't find one as consecutive sevens hit the board to give Boukai a boat.
