Fast Two-Outs Revazov

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Dietrich Fast opened for 6,800 under the gun, and the player on his left three-bet to 16,700. Action folded to Owen Crowe, who made it 54,500 in the small blind. Arsen Revazov was apparently unfazed by all of this action in the big blind, since he shoved all in for about 75,000. Fast thought for awhile before reshipping, folding out the other two players and flipping over {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

"Wow, queens aren't good," Crowe said. He pointed at Revazov's cards. "I'll take his hand."

Crowe was right, as Revazov had {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. The dealer ran out the {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} before bringing out a {q-Spades} river.

"F***," Revazov said tersely.

"I guess queens are good," Crowe mused.

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

PokerStars Team Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and American Tim Reilly both checked an {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, and an {8-Spades} hit the turn. ElkY check-called 5,500 this time, and he check-called another 11,000 on the {5-Spades} river. Reilly showed {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a rivered flush.

Interview: Supernova Elite Juan Martin Pastor Dominating Early on Day 3

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Juan Martin Pastor
Juan Martin Pastor

Argentina's Juan Martin Pastor is mostly known for his exploits in online cash games, but he's making some serious noise here at the PCA Main Event. Pastor, who recently reached Supernova Elite status at PokerStars under the name "pastorcito", currently sits second in chips after increasing his stack by more than 100,000 during the first level of Day 3.

We chatted with Pastor briefly during the break.

PokerNews: You began the day third in chips and you're currently right up there with the chip leader. How did that first level go for you?

Pastor: It was really good. I now have like 560K so it was good.

I saw you Tweet before the day started that you had Olivier Busquet at your table today. Is he someone you play with online or someone you look up to?

No, he's just a high roller guy so I know him but I've never played against him.

You've got some other tough players at your table (John Hennigan, Tyler Cornell). How have they been treating you as the big stack?

They're respecting me so far me so things have gone very well.

I know you play a lot online — you recently earned Supernova Elite status on PokerStars. What's it like coming here and playing live poker and doing well?

It's really nice. This is my third PCA Main Event but it's the first time I made Day 3. It's going really well so I hope it continues.

Do you usually play cash games online?

Yeah, cash games.

So how do you make that transition from cash games to live tournaments?

I play both of them online but my specialty is cash games. I do play a lot of tournaments though and really been working on improving.

Jedlicka Eliminates Donchev

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

We arrived at the table in time to see Vladislav Donchev all in and at risk against Stefan Jedlicka on a board of {5-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{A-Hearts}. The hands were turned over to find Donchev at risk and behind.

Donchev: {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Jedlicka: {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Jedlicka led with his turned flush against Donchev's flopped two pair. Donchev failed to improve on the river ({2-Diamonds}) and he was eliminated from play. Jedlicka scooped the pot and now sits on about 390,000 in chips.
