Nitsche Doubles Through Kitai

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche opened the action in early position to 22,000 and Davidi Kitai called. It was folded to the player in the big blind who also called.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the player in the big blind checked to Nitsche who bet 35,000. Both of his opponents made the call. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and it was checked to Nitsche again who bet 90,000 this time. Kitai was the only caller.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Nitsche moved all in for 342,000. Kitai queried Nitsche for a bit as the call would be for most of his stack if he decided to make it. He grabbed a few chips and put them in the middle.

"Is that a call?" asked Nitsche. The dealer told him yes. Nitsche turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and let out a quiet yes when Kitai turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. That double up moved Nitsche just above a million in chips while Kitai dropped to 140,000.
