Haxton Doubles Esfandiari, Then Doubles Himself

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

When we arrived at the table, Antonio Esfandiari was all in and at risk for 122,400 with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} against Isaac Haxton's {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The board read {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, and the dealer completed it with the {10-Spades} on the river.

Esfandiari doubled to 280,000 chips, while Haxton fell to 105,000.

A few hands later, Haxton was all in for 80,600 on a flop of {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Paul Newey had him at risk with {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, which was well behind Haxton's {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Neither the {q-Diamonds} on the turn or the {8-Diamonds} on the river improved Newey's hand, and Haxton doubled to 215,000 chips.

Newey dropped to 166,000.
