Haxton Playing the "Nuts"

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

PokerStars Team Online player Isaac Haxton began Day 2 with a very short stack of 2,100 in chips, but he has since turned things around and moved back to 15,500.

On his first double, Fedor Holz raised all in from early position for 5,100 before Matthew Fox reraised to isolate. Haxton was in the big blind and called all in with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. Holz held the {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and Fox had {A-}{Q-}.

"Waited for the nuts," said Haxton.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, and Haxton tripled up.

An orbit later, Haxton raised preflop and everyone folded. He showed the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}.

"Only ace-king suited. That's the only hand I'm playing all day," Haxton commented.

Shortly thereafter, Haxton was all in again. This time, he had the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and was up against the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} for his opponent. The board ran out {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Haxton doubled up again.
