Gregg & Oliver Looking For More PCA Success

Anthony Gregg
Anthony Gregg

Neither Anthony Gregg nor Chris Oliver are strangers to the PCA. The former has final tabled the PCA Main Event twice (6th in 2012 for $364,000 and 2nd in 2009 for $1.7 million) while the latter made a name for himself after finishing runner-up to Galen Hall in the 2011 PCA Main Event for $2.3 million.

The two are currently seated at the same table and recently played a small pot together. It began when Gregg opened for 700 from the hijack and Oliver called from the button. Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu then called from the big blind and it was three-way action to the {J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop.

Negreanu checked, Gregg continued for 1,300, and only Oliver called. The dealer proceeded to burn and turn the {2-Spades}, and Gregg kept the pressure on by betting again, this time 3,500. It proved enough to do the trick as Oliver opted not to see the river.
