Day 3 Sees 166 Players Return
Welcome back to our coverage of the 2013 PokerStars Carribbean Adventure Main Event! Yesterday's play saw 500 players return to the felt on the quest to become the champion of the prestigious 10th anniversary of the PCA. The man closest to achieving that dream is Nicolas Godoy with a stack of 724,200. Godoy, who won his seat to this tournament in a $10 satellite, has the opportunity of creating the ultimate Cinderella story.
A plethora of professional poker players took their seats on Day 2 with one immediate goal in mind: Make Day 3. Unfortunately, most of those players fell before the end of the day. Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Xuan Liu, Phil Hellmuth, Alex Kravchenko, Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Luca Pagano, Jon Aguiar, and Cary Katz are just a small sample size of the names to fall on Day 2. Also to see his exit from the tournament was 18-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps.
With those players and many more saw their ultimate tournament demise, others thrived on the felt and will be bringing stacks into Day 3. Some of those to watch during today's play include Darren Elias (558,900), Michael Mizrachi (540,700), Joe Serock (493,600) Ty Reiman (359,500), Carlos Mortensen (296,500), Eugene Katchalov (256,000), Jake Cody (92,000), and many more.
