Chewy Triples
Andrew Lichtenberger open-jammed for 11,800 on the button, Sam Grafton called in the small blind, and Ravi Raghavan grabbed a handful of blue T5,000 chips, three-betting to 52,000 from the big blind. Grafton re-shoved for 77,500, and the dealer started pulling the bets in.
Raghavan - who was in the middle of tanking - became confused, and the players requested that the dealer stop so that he could think, but the dealer proceeded. The bets were finally pulled in, and Raghavan returned to the tank. With about 75,000 behind, Raghavan would have to commit a third of his stack. He opted not to, folding, and the hands were opened:
Lichtenberger:
Grafton:
Raghavan winced at the sight of Grafton's hand, announcing that he folded ace-jack.
The board ran out and Lichtenberger more than tripled to 36,000 chips. Grafton chipped up to 105,000, and Raghavan was left shaking his head.
