De Leon Gets Max Value & Sends Tran Packing
Just before the dinner break we watched a massive pot develop between Christian de León and Henry Tran that resulted in the latter's elimination.
We caught the action with 14,000 in the pot and a board reading . Tran had bet 6,000 only to have de León raise to 13,000. Tran snap-called the raise and then checked the river.
"All in," de León said. Tran had the shorter stack with 22,900 behind and hit the tank. Tran usually acts lightening fast, but it was a big call for his tournament life. Tran seemed to tank for an eternity, but in reality it was approximately five minutes before the clock was called.
The floor made his way over and ran the clock all the way down to one second before Tran said, "I call." De León then tabled for the nuts and Tran simply mucked.
